Mining Business Development Manager (Ref.No. 884) - Jakarta

Key Responsibilities:

* Research, identify and track all new projects that are being planned by the various resource companies in Indonesia.
* Identify the decision makers in each of the resource companies and develop relationships with these individuals.
* develop an understanding of the profile and characteristics of each of the projects (i.e. the scope, the scale and various features and elements).
* Identify and implement business development projects relating to new products and/or industries, technologies or services.
* Work with selected resource companies to engineer proprietary whereby Company van avoid the bidding process.
* Assign in contract negotiations with clients and develop strategy.
* Research, collect and communicate relevant information on competitors.
* Identify markets, licensing opportunities and determine the feasibility of further product development.
* Perform market and economic analyzes on new or improved product opportunities and/or business models and coordinate with internal departments in identifying/implementing business development projects.
* Promote services to develop new market, increase market share and obtain competitive position in bulk material handling relative to the global power and mining industries.
* Promote and market Company's organization in industry, manufacturing and trade organizations.
* Interface with the Sales Staff to assure targets are developed and successfully converted to backlog.
* Prepare tender documents for submission.
* Develop, staff and manage the Indonesian office to support operations, project execution, engineering, cost estimating, sales and purchasing efforts.
* Work with peers in the Senior Management team to develop and meet short and long term business plan goals.
* Submit regular reports to management regarding the status of projects and the project pipeline.
* Lead effort in identifying and developing new markets.
* Special projects and other duties as assigned or identified.

Requirements:

* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree / Post Graduate Degree in technical field.
* Minimum 5-10 year(s) of working experience in business development.
* Minimum 10 years as Senior Executive, Sales, Marketing Executive in the Engineering and Construction, Coal preparation, Architecture and Engineering or Bulk Materials Handling/Mining/Minerals Processing industries.
* Minimum of 5 years market/industry exp, preferably in Indonesia / South East Asia.
* Possess a network of Industry contact across customer, supplier and competitor pools.
* Proven expertise in growing markets and proven skills in convincing clients through successful sales and marketing of products, systems, projects and ideas.
* Proficiency in English language is required and multi-lingual candidates are preferred.
* Strong presentation skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Exceptional organizational skills.
* Proven IT skills for application of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, etc.
* Must be able to travel approximately 50%.
* Knowledge of local legal / business practices and requirements.
* Highly driven, motivated and pro-active individual.
* A transparant, highly integrity, honest person.
